I had the pulled meat over Mac and cheese. Delicious. Wife had soft tacos with side salad and Mac and cheese sides. The side salad alone would have made a reasonable meal. Recommended
AJ's Tex-Mex has the best brisket, queso &chips, carne asada, turkey legs...I can go on and on! Staff are so friendly!! Just feels like home...Texas!!! From the great BBQ to the decor, to the music!!! Missouri is so incredibly lucky to have this gem!!

We have ordered their amazing tamales to take home an freeze for holidays or events. But this was the first time we dined in. We had the shrimp tacos, mushroom taco and a brisket taco with the sides of pinto beans and macaroni and cheese. They were nearly out of pinto beans(which the little serving container was nearly full still) but they said since it wasn’t a full order, they gave us the baked beans for free. The baked beans were some of the best I’d ever eaten!!! The food wasn’t very hot, I’m sure it was because they were nearly closing and they keep some of the sides in roasting appliances, which likely get turned off a bit before closing. Understandable. Anyway, these tacos are the kind you crave! I wanted more even two hours later, and the next day! We will absolutely be back!!!
Great place. Delicious food. The portobello tacos are delicious. My son had the wings and smashed them! lol We all enjoy the food here. Pretty decent size helpings. Fast take out. 10/10 recommend
Amazing! Great food, great service. Hard to find places like this, so happy it exists. Worth the drive over! Hugely recommend anything with the brisket.
A hidden gem in a small town. Excellent food, and always a good variety. The owners are always friendly and there's a good family vibe through the whole place. They support local high school sports and have live music too! Locally owned and hire local as well. There's not much to not like about this place.
